NYU Langone Conference: Advances in Cardiovascular Risk Reduction

The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism is pleased to have co-organized a CME conference “Advances in Cardiovascular Risk Reduction” which is being held at the NYU Langone Medical Center on Thursday - Friday, May 19-20, 2016.  Cardiovascular disease is often a consequence of abnormalities in glucose metabolism due to obesity-induced insulin resistance or overt diabetes. 

Theconference includes some terrific talks including Cardiovascular Benefits of SGLT2 Inhibitors: The EMPA REG Outcome Study (Bernard Zinman) and Role of Ectopic Lipid and Inflammation in the Pathogenesis of Type 2 Diabetes (Jerry Shulman), to name a few.
