Russell Berrie Foundation Fellowships in Diabetes

Monday, August 24, 2015 - Friday, September 4, 2015

This program, now in its 17th year, is designed to support the mentored diabetes-related research activity of outstanding postdoctoral fellows for a period of up to two years.  Research projects can be laboratory-based or clinical, and can relate to causes, consequences, or treatments of diabetes and allied disorders such as obesity.

Applications are submitted by the mentor in conjunction with the potential fellow.  These will be reviewed for scientific merit, feasibility, and the mentor’s expertise and commitment.  Grants are generally for $65K per year for one year, with an option for a second year contingent on progress.

Applications and further information are available on the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center web site.

Completed Application Forms and CV must be submitted via e-mail to Rudolph Leibel, MD, rl232@columbia.edu by 9:00 a.m. on September 21, 2015.
